Believe it or not, my friends, it’s already August. Before you know it fall will be here in full force, and that means winter will soon be bearing down upon us as well. Winter stinks, let’s face it, but it stinks even more when you’re stuck on the sick bed, which is why flu prevention is always so important. Time spent protecting yourself against the flu is always time well spent. Flu protection—make it a top priority this fall and winter.
The first thing you need to know about flu prevention is that there are several different ways to protect oneself from the flu. In order to increase your chance of not getting the flu, you should do all of the following:
Use hand sanitizer! Flu protection begins with hand sanitizer. Using hand sanitizer is one of the easiest ways to prevent an attack from the flu-bug. Simply squeeze a bit unto your hands every few hours to effectively kill any germs and bacteria that might be settling down for a stay on your skin. You can even get large Purell hand-sanitizer dispensers.
Use gloves! If you’re working in an area in which germs and more likely to be spread, such as elementary schools, hospitals or casinos, you should definitely use disposable gloves to protect yourself against the flu! You won’t regret it!
Use flu masks! If there is an outbreak of flu in your neighborhood, wearing a flu mask is not such a bad idea. Doing so will help to protect you against the dangerous bacteria and germs floating around in the air, dangerous germs and bacteria that like entering your body through the nose and mouth.
