The Versatility of Overshoes is Amazing!

I would like to ask all of you a question: “Who here enjoys walking around in wet shoes?” I am going to go out on a limb and say, “Nobody.” The need to discuss wet shoes is here since spring brings a significant amount of rain. Then again, this can be a problem all year round. Trust me, it is no fun when walking through a parking lot and stepping in a puddle. No matter what you do, sometimes they simply can not be avoided. Then you are left with wet, sopping shoes making you cold and miserable. How does one prevent their shoes from getting wet?

Walking in NEOS Trekker OvershoesNo, you can not stay inside and wait for the weather pass -of course if that is your preference that is an option. A better option is to invest in a pair of overshoes. What are overshoes? They are a fantastic innovation in footwear that can be worn year round to work and recreational activities. Overshoes are generally made of PVC or thick rubber shaped with the identical shape as other footwear. These fit over your shoes the same way socks fit your feet. Typically, many types of footwear are laced. The majority of overshoes are not laced to fit loosely over a shoe then tighten up a bit outside.

Depending on your activities there are two types of overshoes. One is similar to an oversized shoe or shoe boot made of thick rubber with a heavy sole and instep, created for industrial use. The other type is created from thinner, more flexible material designed for recreational use for wet weather rather than lots of walking.

The best feature of overshoes is they can be worn all year round. This is a special bonus for those of us who live in the northern states such as myself. Overshoes are designed to protect your shoes, sandals, boots, etc from snow, ice, water, and mud. Just think the days of wet, sopping shoes and boots are over! I will tell all of you these are the greatest invention ever! I tried them out during this past winter and they are phenomenal for protecting my shoes. It was fantastic not traipsing into work with wet shoes. Try them out and tell me what you think.
